Reconstruction of a three-level wooden house in San Francisco, Twin Peaks area, on a picturesque hill overlooking the Mount Sutro Open Reserve, built in 1964. The new owners of the house, a young couple passionate about traveling, wanted a modern, comfortable home filled with natural light. During the work process, the modest list of updates expanded significantly. The architectural studio Feldman Architecture went beyond the overhaul of the house with an area of 278 square meters - the building was redeveloped, the interior was supplemented with a pyramidal loft-attic, and a multi-level garden with a swimming pool was laid out around the house.
Thanks to a successful redevelopment, the house has spacious open spaces connected to the courtyard and large garden. The staircase was moved deeper into the house, resulting in more spacious, bright rooms. On the lower level there are two garages, a foyer-entrance hall with a stone bench and a mini-garden. On the second level there is a private area - a study, three bedrooms and a yoga room. On the upper level there is a living room, a kitchen-dining room with access to a large courtyard with a terraced garden. The kitchen has moved to the back of the house, from where a wooden deck creates easy access to a comfortable terrace with a lounge area and access to the courtyard.
