A renovation in Sydney’s leafy Castlecrag, with hints of inspiration from Portuguese villas
Architects : Polly Harbison Design
Landscape : Bates Landscape
An Australian family with Portuguese roots who bought an old mansion that needed
renovation, with the help of the architectural studio Polly Harbison Design,
successfully renovated it, after which the house began to look like
a romantic Mediterranean-style villa.
Significantly improving the layout of the house, increasing the size of the window
openings, the combination of open-plan living spaces and cozy open spaces,
the house has become more open and welcoming, with
a large landscaped courtyard.

Portuguese ceramic tiles by Trio Ceramica
The main highlight of the mansion with the estate, according to Polly Harbison,
was the renovated garden, in which work was carried out by Bates Landscape.
