Beautiful Apartment Sigtunagatan 11 in Vasastan, Stockholm
Interior Design by Alexander White
Three-room apartment in a house in Vasastan - the second largest and first world famous district of Stockholm, which was glorified by the famous storyteller Astrid Lindgren, who lived here for 60 years, and her legendary character Carlson, who settled on one of the roofs near the park.
The apartment of 85 square meters is located in an old building with a ceiling height of 3.3 meters and large arched windows. The house has partially preserved its classic decor - rosettes, stucco molding and other architectural details.
The interiors of the apartment are designed in the best traditions of modern Scandinavian design: a spectacular play of light and shadow, free space, not cluttered with a large amount of furniture and accessories, simplicity and abundance of air.
The social area, like most Swedish apartments, has an open layout - the kitchen, dining room and living room are combined into a single space. This layout makes it possible to minimize the number of internal partitions, which allows you to increase the number of windows and better illuminate the room. A large number of built-in storage systems, covering the entire height of the rooms, made it possible to get rid of unnecessary cabinets and chests of drawers.
