On a near-acre Bird Street promontory, this Hollywood Regency home of the John Elgin Woolf-era once home to Michael and Patricia York captures unparalleled downtown LA to ocean views with design pedigree remastered by OSKLO.

Hollywood Regency glamorized in a John Elgin Woolf silhouette with 20-ft. glass entry, Fleetwood casement doors and motor-court of tumbled limestone.

Make a Hollywood entrance, through this 12ft double height doorway with Studio OSKLO plaster chandelier, 19th Century Oushak rug and bronze door hardware.

Arya Martin, OSKLO:

“We wanted a Scandinavian take on Hollywood opulence, so we mixed rift oak panelling and wide plank floors with matte plaster walls, which reminded me of the pale white foundation of Hollywood starlets Jane Russell and Katherine Hepburn, [who] could have lived in the house long ago.”

Owner Davana Fryzer:

“My favourite room is the kitchen. I wanted it to be a gathering area for the entire house and also have the feel that it had been there for a while. The panelled cabinetry in rift oak is mixed with a breakfast nook that hugs the architecture of the house. It’s a truly incredible room.”

Pocketed Fleetwood custom windows retract to reveal the ultimate downtown LA view and soaking tub experience in lower Hollywood Hills.
