A comfortable haven of peace to enjoy, disconnect and rest for a Catalan couple from the fashion sector

Rolf Blasktad:

“We are dedicated to the reinterpretation and evolution of traditional Ibizan architecture. And we focus on its origins in the Near East, which date back to the Neolithic. Another point is that the construction methods and design are adapted to the arid climate where they are built, depending entirely on the ingenuity of the builders and the materials available in the area where they are built”

Rolf Blasktad:

“They wanted an old estate prepared for modernity. They were attracted by the bohemian aspect , so we designed a house based on typical constructions, adapted to contemporary life. It was also important that each one had a place where they could continue to focus on their interests. And one detail: they commissioned me to design the architecture around the pieces they had collected together with Toni Espuch from Azultierra , not the other way around”

This elegant living room in Ibiza, designed by Azul Tierra interior design studio, stands out for its unique pieces of furniture. The rustic wooden beamed ceiling adds a warm and cosy touch to the space. A majestic crystal chandelier hangs from the ceiling, illuminating the area with a soft glow. The sturdy wooden table next to the white linen sofa and the antique gilded corbels on the wall bring a mix of styles that create a sophisticated and eclectic ambience.

Toni Espuch:

"Light, light and much more light: It is the central axis of the entire project, both on an architectural level and on an interior design level. We have taken into account its natural path when distributing the rooms and dressing them, so that the house enjoys a natural and serene uniformity at different times of the day”

The choice of colours has managed to recreate the atmosphere that the owners wanted, one of calm and harmony, excluding any stridency and giving prominence to the Mediterranean palette .
Toni Espuch: “ White and earth tones, soft and slow , which contrast with the native vegetation”
