This imposing seven floor, double-fronted, Victorian Villa on one of Notting Hill’s prettiest and most exclusive streets was recently extended to include three subterranean basements, giving an overall footprint of 20,000 sqft. Completely transformed in five months for an international client hoping to create a ‘home for life’, the impressive architecture is a captivating backdrop to an original and contemporary luxury interior design.

One of Pooley’s favorite projects is the house she designed for a young couple in Notting Hill, who had such confidence in her proposals that they never asked for any changes. 

Katharine Pooley:

“It had been renovated by a developer previously, but with very little thought. That meant we needed to start from scratch with many of the key elements, including the flooring and the pool.”

Katharine Pooley:

“My vision was for a youthful and luxurious interior with eye-catching dashes of pure colour and statement sculptural pieces that were inspiring, thought-provoking and timelessly elegant.”

Katharine enjoyed working with a playful, multi-hued, palette and mixed in many personal and individual pieces created especially for the client.

Glorious saturated accent colours are scattered throughout with cobalt and azure blue in the drawing room, emerald green in the basement pool, spa and games room and canary yellow and lapis, in two of the seven-bedroom suites.
